Avon Girls a-go karaoke-ing

Everyone needs a little fun! Especially, your local Avon representative. Last night, Monday April 25, 2011, the lovely ladies from Avon District 2414 went to Super Buffet in Marlboro, MA to eat some lovely Chinese food and sing some fantastic karaoke.

It was a blast!

Some of the ladies relax with a little tea (and a Mai Tai or two!) before the "karaoke-ing" (yeah that's a word ... ok, I possibly made it up ... I'm allowed to do that. I'm an English teacher!) started.

Darlene and Emilia started off the evening with a couple of duets.

Some of the ladies WOULDN'T get up to sing us a song (or two) but they seemed to enjoy watching the fun!

Darlene ,who has a fantastic voice and knows a lot of country songs, was a frequent visitor to the mic!

Darlene singing some Tanya Tucker!

Michaleen, our visitor from another District (and my sister-in-law), asking me to stop taking pictures of her. (I was threatened with death multiple times!)

Heidi, Emilia and me (Britta) trying to do Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight." I forgot how terrible that song was. But Heidi seemed to love it ... and Emilia was a trooper!

I gave up after a little while and decided to film Heidi and Emilia trying to do the song:

Heidi, Emilia, Jean and Darlene got up there to sing another one of Heidi's requests ... "Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eye Peas.

More Black Eye Peas goodness.

Here's a video of the greatness that is District 2414's Ladies!:

And, yes, Heidi, these are on YouTube! ;) LOVE IT!

Emilia, me (Britta) and Heidi singing Cee-Lo Green's "F*** You." LOVE that song!

As the night drew to a close (we stayed an hour passed the time we were supposed to leave), the Girls decided to sing a final song, Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" ... hey HEY! Enjoy the video!
